Technical Program Manager
Seattle, WA (on-site)full-time7+ years
We need an engineer who learned to orchestrate. Someone who's written production code, understands systems deeply, and discovered they have a talent for making entire teams ship faster. You think in dependencies, trade-offs, and unblocking actions—not status slides.
What you'll do
- •Own delivery across multiple concurrent engineering workstreams—plan, track risks, clear blockers, ship
- •Translate ambiguous product goals into structured execution plans with clear milestones and owners
- •Run lean rituals that help and kill the ones that don't
- •Stay close enough to the technical work to spot what's hard or underestimated before it becomes a problem
- •Manage cross-functional dependencies without becoming a bottleneck
- •Build lightweight systems (boards, docs, dashboards) that give visibility without overhead
- •Drive scope/timeline/quality trade-offs with honesty, then make sure decisions stick
- •Partner with engineering leads to shape roadmaps and sequence work across competing priorities
What we're looking for
- •7+ years in technical roles, with real time building software or infrastructure before moving into program management
- •You can read a pull request, follow an architecture discussion, and know when an estimate is off
- •Experience in fast-moving environments where you re-planned on the fly without losing momentum
- •Strong instincts about process—from seeing what actually makes teams faster vs. what creates meetings
- •Clear, precise communication: written updates are actionable, meetings end early, escalations come with recommendations
- •Comfortable saying "we're not going to make this date" early enough to do something about it
- •Experience with AI, cloud infrastructure, or modern software platforms—you understand the unpredictability of AI-driven development
Nice to have
- •You still write code or scripts to solve your own problems—automate before you spreadsheet
- •Hands-on experience with AI tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot)
- •Deep cloud/DevOps background from your engineering days
- •Experience managing programs where AI/ML ran alongside traditional engineering
- •You've managed a program that failed and can articulate what you'd do differently
