Senior Cloud Systems Engineer

Drive the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems supporting an enterprise cloud environment across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP. Lead system integration efforts, create proactive engineering mechanisms, and ensure the health and reliability of distributed systems supporting production applications.

What you'll do

  • Drive the stability, sustainability, and scalability of enterprise cloud-based networks and software systems
  • Lead system integration, verification, validation, and supportability analyses across multiple cloud platforms
  • Create and implement proactive engineering mechanisms to manage the health of distributed virtual machine environments
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, and requirements allocation
  • Define interface specifications and conduct studies for hardware and software requirements
  • Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks
  • Resolve complex systems functionality, performance, and configuration issues
  • Lead technical teams in architecting and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements, RMF processes, and Cloud SRG standards
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers while establishing engineering best practices

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in systems engineering and cloud infrastructure
  • Expert-level knowledge of multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP) architecture and operations
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, security architecture, and enterprise integration
  • Extensive experience with system lifecycle management and engineering processes
  • Strong background in performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization
  • Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives and engineering teams
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for Secret clearance at minimum

Nice to have

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Two or more cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Architect)
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification
  • CISSP, CISM, or other advanced security certifications
  • Experience with federal Cloud Computing SRG and FedRAMP/FedRAMP+ environments
  • Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ATO processes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

U.S. Citizenship is required. This position requires an active U.S. government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
