Lead software development for cloud computing systems across AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP platforms. You'll provide strategic guidance on system operations, lead development efforts, and mentor programming teams while designing software for new systems and upgrades to existing enterprise solutions supporting mission-critical operations.
What you'll do
- •Design, develop, and architect cloud-native software solutions for enterprise-scale federal cloud environments
- •Provide strategic technical guidance and direction on software system operations and architecture
- •Lead and mentor development teams in implementing cloud-based applications and services
- •Oversee development of system software including maintenance, operations, and continuous improvement
- •Develop ITSM solutions and integrations for cloud service management
- •Implement site reliability engineering practices to ensure system availability and performance
- •Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- •Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, microservices, and containerization
- •Ensure software solutions comply with federal cybersecurity requirements and RMF processes
- •Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies
What we're looking for
- •Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- •Minimum 15 years of experience in software engineering and development
- •Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, etc.)
- •Extensive experience developing cloud-native applications for enterprise platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
- •Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns, microservices, and distributed systems
- •Strong experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and automated testing
- •Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and drive complex software initiatives
- •U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for Secret clearance at minimum
Nice to have
- •Active Top Secret clearance
- •Two or more cloud certifications (AWS Developer/Architect, Azure Developer, GCP Professional Developer)
- •CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification
- •Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms
- •Knowledge of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management)
- •Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
U.S. Citizenship is required. This position requires an active U.S. government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
